The Ripley Cable Jointer's Kit is a complete kit for termination prep on 10 to 35 kV cable with diameters from 0.39 in. (10 mm) to 2.36 in. (60 mm). It works on PE, XLPE, PVC, EPR, silicone rubber, EPDM and TGGT insulation, and it comes in a rugged hard case with precision-cut foam.
There are two versions. The UA01-7085 has metric scales, and the UA01-7092 has imperial tools and KS-1 shears. Each kit has a jacket scorer, jacket lifter, semi-con shaver, semi-con scorer, stripper with stop bar, insulation chamfer tool, ratcheting slitter, flat nose and needle nose pliers, and a hex key set.
The blades are shielded, so the kit helps crews work without exposed blades. The adjustable tools cover a range of cable sizes and jacket thicknesses, and the hex key set and included replacement blades cover blade changes. The case measures 24 x 24 x 8 in. and weighs 15 lb. Some tools can be swapped, such as metric for inch scales or a different style of pliers. Ask us for details.
The Ripley UA01-7059 MV Cable Prep Kit is the larger diameter kit in the lineup. It removes the jacket, semi-con layer and EPR or XLPE insulation from medium voltage cable up to 1000 kcmil.

The Ripley UA01-7038 MV Cable Prep Kit is a medium voltage kit that adds a chamfer tool and a probe insertion tool for torquing to the usual stripping and scoring tools. It prepares EPR and XLPE insulated cable by removing the jacket, semi-con layer and insulation without damaging the conductor.

The Ripley MV Underground Tool Kit is an all-in-one kit for preparing 15 to 35 kV underground cable from 0.39 in. (10 mm) to 2.36 in. (60 mm) in diameter. It works on PE, XLPE, PVC, EPR, silicone rubber, EPDM and TGGT insulation, and includes custom foam and replacement blades. Every version has a large-format cable slitter, a jacket lift tool, a URD insulation chamfering tool, two clamps and an SCS semi-con scoring tool.

It is an adjustable stripper that removes the sheath and XLPE insulation, either mid-span or at the cable end.
